HELLO!
Hi, I’m Sonja. I’m a dedicated yoga and qigong teacher with over 500 hours of yoga certifications and 400 hours of qigong training. My journey into these practices began over 14 years ago when I turned to yoga to recover from an injury.
My Yoga Journey
What started as a personal exploration grew into a passion that inspired me to share these transformative practices with others. After qualifying initially for my own practice, I realised the profound impact yoga and qigong could have on others and I decided to teach. I’ve now been teaching for five years.
My classes are grounded in my own daily practice and my belief in the power of movement, breath, sound, silence and stillness to bring balance and vitality not only to the body but also the mind. I strive to practice at least once every day, keeping myself connected and inspired to guide my students.
Beyond teaching, I find joy in many simple pleasures. I love gardening, cooking vegan meals, and spending time with my four beloved dogs. I’m also a fan of live music and dancing, so if you’re out clubbing, yes, it might be me by the speakers getting my freak on. Paradoxically I also feel deeply connected to nature, the silence and stillness it can offer are equally important to me, offering moments of connection, reflection and peace.
My approach to teaching yoga and qigong is rooted in creating a welcoming and supportive space where individuals can explore these practices at their own pace. Whether you’re seeking strength, relaxation or simply a deeper connection to yourself, I’m here to guide you on your journey.

Did you know that yoga teachers have to collect CPD points through out their career just like many professionals.
My Qigong Journey
I began my Qigong journey during the lockdown—a time when everything slowed down and, like many people, I suddenly had time on my hands that needed filling. The online 'Qi-Gang' community started as a way to feel more productive and connected, but it quickly became a daily ritual. Not long after, the opportunity for more in-depth teaching came along, and I was hooked. Just a few months after discovering Qigong, I committed to formal training. Lockdown gave me ample space to practice and study the theory behind the movements. I was often practicing for three or more hours a day, fully immersed in both the practical and theoretical aspects of Qigong for over six months. With that level of dedication and consistent practice, it became much more than just a movement discipline—it evolved into a way of living, helping me cultivate awareness, resilience, and a deeper connection to my body, mind, breath, and energy.
Why did I connect so quickly and deeply with Qigong? I think it’s because it reflects, supports, and enriches life. It just made sence to me. It felt natural—like something I had always known but had momentarily forgotten. At its core, Qigong embodies the rhythms of nature and reminds us that we are part of a larger, interconnected whole.
My initial training was in Small Universe practices which incorporate theraputic movement, stillness and breathework. I later went on to study a second course, Inner Fire, a more physically demanding, yet still a deeply therapeutic practice.

Did you know Qigong is thought to be five to eight thousand years old and each family woud have there own system that they handed down the generations.
